Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and vlists for your use of the vlists apps and website. vlists is a list-manager service for saving, reusing, sharing, and getting reminded about your checklists. Please read these terms before using it. How we handle your personal data is covered separately in our privacy policy.
Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using vlists, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the service.
Who can use vlists
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you use vlists on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
Your account
Keeping it secure
You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in details confidential. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to your account.
Accurate details
Please give us an email address you control, so we can reach you about your account, reminders you have asked for, and replies to your feedback.
Your content
You own it
Your lists, items, notes, and anything else you add stay yours. We claim no ownership of them.
What you allow us to do with it
You give us permission to store, back up, transmit, and display your content only as far as we need to in order to run the service for you: to sync your lists across your devices, to send the reminders you schedule, and to share a list with the people you invite to it.
Sharing is your choice
When you invite someone to a list as a viewer or an editor, you are choosing to make that content visible to them, and an editor can change it. Invite only people you intend to share with.
You are responsible for it
You are responsible for the content you add and for having the right to add it.
Acceptable use
Use vlists lawfully and reasonably. Do not use it to store or share unlawful, infringing, or abusive content; do not attempt to access other people's accounts or data; do not probe, disrupt, or overload the service or the systems behind it; do not resell or redistribute the service; and do not use automated means to scrape or bulk-extract content from it. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Our content and the curated catalog
The vlists apps, website, branding, and the curated checklist catalog we publish are ours or our licensors'. You may use the curated lists for your own personal or internal business purposes, including copying one into your own lists and editing it. You may not republish or redistribute the catalog as a product of your own.
Reminders and notifications
Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee. Delivery of a push notification or an email depends on your device, your notification settings, and networks and providers outside our control, so please do not rely on vlists as the only safeguard for anything critical.
Availability and changes to the service
We may add, change, or remove features, and we may need to take the service offline for maintenance. We aim to keep vlists available and to give notice of significant changes where we reasonably can, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Price
vlists is free to use with up to 10 lists. vlists Pro adds AI list generation, create from a photo, smart reminders, scheduled auto-reset, comments and collaboration, and unlimited lists and items. Where a paid plan applies, we make the price and terms clear before you are charged, and subscribing is your choice.
Ending your use of vlists
Your choice
You can stop using vlists at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and its content by contacting us, or delete your account yourself at any time.
Our choice
We may suspend or end your access if you materially break these terms, or if we are required to by law. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice so you can export or record your lists.
Disclaimers and liability
vlists is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost profits, or for loss of data beyond what we could reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. By using vlists you also agree to that policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and continuing to use vlists after a change means you accept the updated terms.
